Below are a list of the core features provided by Sapphire 1.1.0 (for a list of changes since 1.0.0, view the changelog at bottom of the page):
Occasionally when you longpress the volume up/down keys to skip through songs when the screen is off, it will begin to continually skip and never stop. This is a result of some problems in the multi-threaded code. I had thought that I had fixed this but apparently it still exists. The best way to stop it for now is to simply tap the volume button a few times in the direction you were skipping, as the “key released” messages will then be re-sent and clear out the event queue that causes this to happen.
I am currently working on trying to fix that, but hopefully you all can bear with me for now until it is fixed.
In this release, the problem appears to have persisted though is not as prevalent as before. I have also included an option in GEM settings to disable the feature altogether.
The kernels supported for this release have been custom built by cvpcs based on work done by P3Droid and Bekit. These are the only kernels officially supported by sapphire.

Below are the various themes that have been set up to work with Sapphire 1.1.0. For screenshots of these themes in action, click on their name in the list!
COMING SOON
Installation of themes is done using update.zip format. As such, simply download the desired theme file to /sdcard/update.zip and then apply it.
Installation is performed using the standard update.zip installation method. The steps of which are:
If you plan on installing a new kernel or theme, simply follow the same steps as above with those zip files.
Explanation: From this point on, unless otherwise stated, Sapphire will only provide support for devices that have performed a full data wipe (factory reset) prior to installation. The reason for this is simple. Stale data on the /data and /cache partitions often cause a large number of problems, and leads to unexpected or unintended behavior in various applications as well as the system core. This is not a problem with the ROM itself, but a problem caused by the stale data. For that reason, it is simply too difficult to try to sort out bugs that are a result of this, so unless otherwise stated, we will expect all bugs to be coming from a device that has had a full data wipe performed on it. It is also important to note, that restoring data from system apps in Titanium Backup (or another similar app) can produce the same problems. So in the end, if you wish to attempt to install without a system wipe, go for it, but there may or may not be problems.
Understand that there is no reason you cannot ATTEMPT to install without a data wipe, but we request that if something is going wrong, you attempt to test if it is still a problem after data wiping, to check if stale data is the culprit, prior to submitting a bug report.
All bug reports and feature requests will be done through Bugzilla, an issue tracker hosted on this site. It requires a valid email to register (which is only used for tracking which users have what bugs), and provides a much better interface to report and track problems or features.
You can find the Sapphire Bugzilla here: CVPCS Bugzilla

Below is the changelog for the system.
1.1.0:
New boot animations [Ludacrosse05]
Luda has been nice enough to make some truly kick-ass boot
animations for our new release :D
Updated Obsidian to 2.3.9 [cvpcs]
Updated the obisidan build to the latest proprietary leak,
courtesy of P3Droid.
Added Tanzanite (Droid 2) build [cvpcs]
Added a tanzanite build to test if it has similar problems to the
obsidian build.

I have incorporated some of koush's source for his hijack script
for devices that don't support an unlocked bootloader.

as well, being it has similar hardware to the Incredible.
Added custom kernel for Emerald [cvpcs]

Ruby can now mount internal storage to /mnt/emmc
Bug fixes:
Volume button music command fixes [cvpcs]

P3Droid recently released the new proprietaries for the FRG22D
build, which have now been included into the release.
Consolidated build [cvpcs (modifications)]
[cyanogen (base idea)]
In order to better allow for multiple device support, the build
configs are now consolidated across all devices. This means
a more common experience for all systems running a GEM.
1.0.2:
New kernels [cvpcs]
Added some new kernels with interactive governor support, which
provides a tradeoff between battery life and performance that
leans more towards performance. Note that ondemand will remain
the default as it promotes better battery life. The stock
125-1000LV kernel has also been replaced by the 250-800SV kernel
for the purpose of providing more stability out-of-the-box.
Various fixes:
Fixed FC with GEM Settings/DSP Manager [cvpcs]
More tweaks to the volume button music controls [cvpcs]
1.0.1:
Added rsync [dylex]
As per a request I have added the rsync binary for those who
would use it to sync data between their phones and various other
sources.

Re-enabled stagefright player [cvpcs] (thanks google)
A recent check-in to the froyo source tree has fixed the audio
issues some were experiencing in stagefright, specifically with
AAC+ and eAAC streams. Thus I have synced the fix and re-
enabled stagefright for media playback.
1.0.0:
Modified scriptybox [cvpcs]
Changed where scriptybox retrieves its files url for switchapk
Disabled stagefright player [cvpcs]
The stagefright player has been disabled in favor of the opencore
one. This is likely to change in the future and was only done as
some users have reported poor audio quality on some applications
using stagefright.
Updated latest sholes kernels [cvpcs]
Added IPv6 support to the base kernel instead of a module. This
fixes a few FC in applications like Google Goggles which try to
use IPv6.

Fixed some logic in the longpress issues where presses were being
sent indefinitely. Also doubled the amount of time for repeated
longpresses for easier track seeking.

apps would not show up under phone info.
Changes to GEM Settings [cvpcs]
Added options to GEM settings to set cpu frequency scaling options
(i.e. governor, min/max speeds, etc) at boot-time
Bug fixes:
50% signal loss bug [koush]
0.9.4:
Updated to custom sapphire kernels [cvpcs]
For various reasons, sapphire kernels will be customized by myself
(cvpcs) from here on out. The new kernels are based on P3Droid's
original work for sapphire, with overclocking info borrowed from
Bekit's work
Reverted to Stock apps by default [cvpcs]
After much consideration, I have reverted the defaults for sapphire
apps to those which are stock (this includes Music, Launcher2, etc).
